Holiday Stress and Opti-Adrenal

by Diana James in Health0 Comments

Well, let me tell you. I am ending this year the same way I began it- stressed out and overwhelmed. Not to sound like a complete Grinch, even though he made some valid points, but the Christmas season is rough and holiday stress is a killer. There is so much pressure and expectations and I provide more than enough of those for myself without other people contributing. Even sitting here typing this, I feel guilty. No one wants to hear such negativity, no one wants to hear me complain about myself.

But it’s the most wonderful time of the year, right?

I might make a song with a new version of the lyrics.

“It’s the most stressful time, of the year/where the kids are all screaming/your in-laws are reaming you out one by one/it’s the most stressful time of the year!”

Side note- no in-laws have misbehaved this holiday season, it was just the first lyric option that came to mind.

I think of the Christmas parties, the desserts I need to make, the food I need to donate, the kids events I need to volunteer at. Then there are the gifts to buy and wrap, stressing about whether they will like it or not, and wanting everyone to have a magical Christmas while feeling woefully unequipped to make that happen. My son has been hounding me for weeks to decorate gingerbread houses and we haven’t even had time for that. It’s a lot, and my body and my emotions are feeling the effects of all that stress. And stress eating during the holidays is a whole new game. I managed to put down half a plate of fudge after Thanksgiving as I “de-stressed”.

Managing Stress with Opti-Adrenal

So what can I do? It’s a question I have been struggling with this week because I know I need to get a handle on my stress levels but life is coming at me so fast I barely have time to breathe much less meditate or journal or go for long nature walks.

Well, I was talking to a friend of mine last night, a chiropractor who specializes in holistic healing. He recommended Opti-Adrenal from Optimal Health Systems.

Opti-Adrenal for managing stress.

It’s meant to repair the adrenal glands and boost energy the natural way. Yes, to both of those. I switched to decaf coffee a few months ago because the caffeine was increasing my anxiety levels so anything that can naturally boost my energy levels is a big yes in my book. But mostly, I was intrigued by their claims to repair the adrenal glands and give a healthier stress response.

I ordered my first bottle last night. It will take 7-10 business days to arrive. In the days of Amazon, paying $8 for shipping and waiting 7-10 days was nearly enough to make me change my mind but I need help dealing with my stress levels so I went for it.

This is not an affiliate post, I’m not earning any kickbacks. I’m just always looking for ways to improve my health and I hope to inspire others to do the same. I’ll do another post when the bottle arrives and one after a week or two of taking the supplement to see if I can feel any changes. And while the placebo effect is a real thing, I wouldn’t be mad about it. It’s still a natural way to manage my stress levels.

Happy holidays and may the odds be in your favor!
